Hi, I’m Paul Lewis.  I was a journalist for 35 years, as an on-air TV reporter, producer and news executive.  I produced documentaries for PBS, and, for more than a dozen years, I ran news operations at TV stations in Connecticut and New York. 

 

I have done lots of travel and landscape photography, but my greatest thrill comes when I can capture those amazing candid portraits of a totally-in-love newly engaged couple or family photographs that reveal the delight of parents with their kids.  And as a grandparent myself, I like nothing  better than catching the pride and joy of grandparents with the children of their children.  I love 3-generation photo sessions!

 

Photography has led me to some truly outstanding relationships, and  I'm proud that many families have come back to me year after year for their treasured photographs.

If you’re looking for the stiff, formal, family portrait in a studio, I’m not the photographer for you.  I shoot primarily outdoors in natural light to ensure we get genuine, uninhibited, candid, playful shots.

If you shop around for family portrait photographers, you'll notice my prices are about half of many others. That's because I think many photographers charge crazy high prices.  Of course they are trying to earn a living and I respect that.  I'm mostly retired.  I do this for the creativity and the smiles, so I can offer a good deal.
